City of Naperville Reminders
|
Join us on Sunday, October 29 at 2:30pm - and get your kids into their spookiest costumes - for our annual fun parade through the neighborhood, finishing up with a yummy candy hunt.
The parade originates at the southwest corner of Ginger and Trillium (officially at 1413 Ginger). We'll parade along Ginger to the front monument before Lisson, then return down Lisson, making tours of Lotus Court and then Aster Court. We'll continue along Ginger then turn right down Trillium, crossing Trillium between 2257 and 2258 Trillium then returning up Trillium - around the Trillium/Ginger circle - then finishing up where we started at 1413 Ginger. As a reward for the kids, we'll have a frightfully fun candy hunt. Be sure to RSVP by Saturday, October 21st to Chip Potter at [email protected] with the number and ages of the children participating. And by the way = family friends and relatives are invited, too! |
Leaf Collection - The city visits our neighborhood three times in the fall for bulk leaf collection. Collection cycles are October 16, October 30, and November 13.
Rake your leaves to the curb - but be sure to leave some space away from the curb so rain water (snow melt??) can flow to the drains! Remember to rake only leaves - do not put branches, limbs or any other brush with the leaves, as this will damage the city's equipment. Naperville offers FREE bagged (no sticker!) leaf collection from November 6 through December 15, 2023. So if you miss the last collection, you can still bag your leaves for disposal on regular trash day. Click this link for more information on Naperville's leaf collection program. Street Parking - The city prohibits overnight street parking. Please respect the city's code and be sure your cars are in your driveway or garage in the evening. |
